Do others really need my help?

I consider myself to be a decent person, although sometimes my words can be attacking when I talk to friends, but I have no ill intentions and genuinely want to help them. However, lately I have been thinking, do they really need my help?

Helping others is in my nature, giving roses to people with fragrance left on my hands. I always consider the people around me, selflessly trying to expand their blind spots to the best of my ability.

Because there are many things that I am unable to learn on my own, I try to help those with similar ideas to achieve their goals. They have the skills, but just don't know how to put them into action, and I know how to do it but lack the skills.

Unlike the experts online, most people around me face information barriers. We cannot access the same resources, sometimes not even knowing how to use the existing ones. Many people with a starting point like mine have become experts through their efforts, but that is the minority. Most will be limited by the education and environment of their first twenty years, spending their long lives plain. Perhaps they will never need to know the terms we discuss now, and simple daily happiness after work is enough. They are oblivious to being trapped in the information cocoons carefully crafted by various apps, or even if they do, they are content to stay in them because it is human nature to enjoy entertainment.

I am not here to discuss the quality of information, as even if we use Google and ChatGPT, or access information through RSS and Newsletters, we are still living in the cocoons of information we have built ourselves.

I try to help others without expecting anything in return, but sometimes I keep helping others who don't know how to be grateful. I don't expect them to repay me, but if they don't even have basic manners and take my help for granted, then they are not worth helping, and the same goes for others.

I hope to find a path in the future that combines my interests with my abilities, so that I can travel far and help others along the way.
